Gabby is going to be ballet star. She is an adorable and talented girl and has been doing ballet for many years. Gabby is going to a new ballet school and needed some pictures to complete her application. I love to photograph dancers because they have such a control of their bodies. Well, judging from the results of these pictures, I can tell you she is definitely in!! Good luck Gabby!
I had the opportunity to spend the weekend with two crazy-funny girls named Emily & Rachel. We had a blast going around Victoria for photos during some of the best weather of the entire year. The sky was an awesome colour of blue and we experimented a bit with some lifestyle-photojournalism portraits.
Engagements are always fun to shoot and they are such a good practice for the wedding day. Amanda and Colin were so easy going and look fantastic in the pics, don't you think? They are getting married on September 23rd and we can't wait to shoot their wedding. Colin is a hair stylist so we are expecting Amanda to have the coolest hair ever! Congratulations to this awesome couple and a big thank you to Rachelle who was doing her practicum with us that week and helped to shoot this engagement session.
We would like to thank you, Brittany and Sylvan, for being such an amazingly fun couple! We knew that this would be a very special wedding because Brittany even changed her wedding date so we could photograph her big day (we were unfortunately already booked on her original date). We were so trilled that in the end everything worked out! She was stunning on her wedding dress and Sylvan was really charming in his uniform. They were really fun and so in love that we couldn't stop shooting! Eunice was extra happy because she could use her new camera (a Nikon D3!!!!!!!!!!) for the first time on this wedding. It was a perfect day and it even stopped raining just in time for pictures. The unbeatable part of the day was when we met up with this fabulous group of performers downtown who gathered around the couple like they were rock stars, making everything really colorful and fun. Many many thanks to Fairen and Laura who helped Eunice photograph this awesome wedding.
Christina and I both agree that we have pretty cool jobs... but people like Maria & Kevin make it all the better. They were so easy to work with and you have to agree that Maria is exceptionally beautiful and photogenic (and super nice t'boot). Kevin and the boys kept us in stitches the entire time we photographed them getting ready and we were super excited they wanted to act out some rock star poses! We had a blast at their wedding and we felt really welcome by all of their friends and family. We're super excited that Maria's brother has chosen us as their wedding photographers in September so we get to see the whole clan once again. Congratulations Maria & Kevin! It was a pleasure photographing you both!
Evelyn is beyond adorable and is one of the reasons we could honestly spend all day photographing babies! She was in such a good mood and gave us millions of smiles. Evelyn is our good friends' Nathan and Emily's daughter and she couldn't stop laughing and making the funniest faces for the camera! Cheers to this cute baby girl!
Christina had the chance to spend a beautiful day in the park with the Archer Family. Their oldest daughter Amanda is moving to Toronto so they were marking the occassion with some family portraits. You couldn't have asked for a nicer family or better light for photography. If you're interested in having a portrait session done this spring please let us know... We are so lucky to work with couples like Asheley and Brandon. We got together last Sunday to shoot their engagement and we spent two hours having fun! They are such a good looking couple and so easy to work with. They were so upbeat and willing to try whatever we come up with. They like nature so we went to the beach for some shots and we found a really cool wall in Oak Bay that made a super cool background! Their wedding is going to happen in July 26th and we are counting the days! Keep practicing the kissing kissing, leaning leaning!!!!!

This is a very early sneak peek of Jen & Seth's fabulous wedding last weekend. Jen & Seth came up from Oregon and family came in from all over the US and B.C. to join them for the big day. With eight people in the wedding party it was truly that - a really fun party and celebration. It's difficult not to get emotional when you see a couple who is so in love and these two definitely fit that bill. The tears started the moment Jen walked up the aisle. For portraits, it started off as a pretty rainy west coast day and we thought we may have to find an indoor location, but the it cleared up and the sky turned into this surreal blue and we had crazy beautiful light for the rest of the afternoon. These two were fantastic sports about getting lots of variety in their shots and the girls even climbed up on a cliff wearing their heels! Peter & Victoria are getting married in August and Christina will be doing their photography. Instead of a regular engagement session, we decided to do a fun family portrait session in the park instead. Every year they take their adorable son to have pictures taken in the daffodils so it was great to be a part of their yearly ritual. It was a gorgeous day - unbeatable - and the flowers had just started to bloom. You can't ask for more than sunshine, flowers and a happy family!
