Annie & Eve - Sneak Peek

We love the photos they took of Annie & Eve's wedding. Annie & Eve came from Seattle to have their destination wedding here in Victoria. They met in kindergarten and were best friends before falling in love - which is probably *the* most romantic story we've ever heard. Annie & Eve - congratulations and happiness always! Shelise & Bruce - Turks & Caicos

Photographed by Christina: I've just returned from the most beautiful wedding at the Nikki Beach Resort in the Caribbean island of Turks & Caicos. Talk about photogenic, Shelise & Bruce make such a gorgeous couple you may think they're from Hollywood, but Shelise is actually an emergency room physician and Bruce is in real estate! They came in from Chicago and flew in their friends and family from all over the country - Atlanta, California and Illinois to name a few. Everyone was so nice and friendly that I instantly felt welcome and part of the crowd. We spent the evening before at the Mango Reef Cafee near Provo followed by a sunset cruise. Yes, I'm completely spoiled. They had a ceremony just before sunset and we spent some time taking photos around the Nikki Resort, which was pretty photogenic too! Shelise & Bruce, thank you once again for including me in your day. I hope you have a phenominal honeymoon in Greece!

Shauna & Craig's St. Lucia Wedding

Photographed by Christina: I was really excited to go to St. Lucia since it's an island I've wanted to visit for a long time (think jungle, mountains and waterfalls flowing into the Caribbean sea). And I'm so glad it was Shauna & Craig's wedding that got me there. These two were so nice, easy going, and really, truly happy. Everyone came in from Fresno, California to celebrate... and that they did! It was definitely a happenin' party! They were married at the awe-inspiring Castries Catedral, which is the oldest (and I think largest) church in the Caribbeanwith a reception at the infamous Sandals Regency Resort. A couple of days after the wedding, we went all over the island for extra pictures, including the Piton Mountains (which are always on the covers of travel magazines). A cool story - Shauna's mom Terri met Craig first since he was her personal trainer. She thought he'd be a good match for Shauna, so convinced her to give personal training a try. The end result: a perfect match. Shauna & Craig, congratulations! I'm happy we had a chance to get to know each other.

Paige, Laura & Kevin

Laura is actually one of our photographers (and a really good friend) and Eunice & Erin had a great time turning the cameras around and photographing her and her family. We've watched Paige grow up from just a little baby, so it's pretty exciting to see her turning into such a big girl - and a cutie petutie at that!

The Canoe Club

We've actually been doing a lot of commercial work lately, but we're just a little behind on our blog posts. Our most recent assignment was with the Canoe Club. We did some lifestyle stock work last week, in addition to some food photography a few months ago. Eunice was in absolute heaven, since her favorite thing to photograph (and actually, just her favorite thing in the whole world) is FOOD! Christina made the mistake of wearing a skirt to the most recent shoot, which was probably the first time she's ever done that... not realizing that the Canoe Club wanted someone to go up a shaky five-storey tall ladder (made of rope!) on a yacht in the marina (which is also owned by the Canoe Club) to take some overhead views of the building. Christina isn't afraid of heights, but Eunice is and she braved going up that shaky ladder because silly Christina wore that damned skirt!! Christina now owes Eunice BIG TIME! lol We're extremely proud of Eunice for going the extra mile and getting great shots as well! We had a lot of fun with the Canoe Club staff though and we think they chose some pretty hot models to pose for pictures. India`s High School Graduation & Prom

Eunice & Erin (our fantastic intern from the Saskatchewan Institute of Technology) photographed this gorgeous teenager to celebrate her highschool prom. When we first found out about how popular senior portraits are in the USA (almost every US highschool graduate gets one done) we were like, "why didn't we have that when we were graduating high school?" Senior portraits - which are basically a high-fashion magazine-inspired shoots - are a fantastic way to mark this important milestone (and it makes a really great gift for the highschool or university grad in your life!). We think India did a great job of channeling her inner movie star...Angelina Jolie, eat your heart out. Congratulations on your graduation India!

Alan & Meghan

Photographed by Kirk & Eunice - Alan & Meghan had a gorgeous wedding at the Westwood Tennis Club in Nanaimo on a fantastic sunny day. We loved Meghan's sheik retro veil and the couple's cool style. Kirk & Eunice had an awesome time getting to know them. Congratulations Meghan & Alan!

Mary & Rob

We were so flattered when Mary & Rob chose FunkyTown to be a part of their intimate elopment at the fabulous Aerie Resort outside of Victoria. They flew in from Arizona to have their destination wedding here - and they scored a perfect day... not too hot, not too cold and some beautiful sunlight t'boot. We were able to go all over the area for additional photos, including a few trash the dress shots at the end of the day (something we rarely do on an actual wedding day - talk about a treat!). They were so easy going and fun to photograph. We had a blast. Mary & Rob, congratulations!!

Tamara & Brad

Photographed by Eunice: Tamara and Brad's engagement session was great! I just couldn't believe how perfect the light was. The sky was so amazing and we found such a cool vineyard for the shoot. I was so excited about the yellow grass on that field that I couldn't stop clicking. We also went downtown for some fun urban pictures. This couple is up for anything and I had such a lovely afternoon with them. Tamara and Brad are getting married in next August and I can't wait until their big day.

Jacob & Luke

Jacob and Luka are so adorable! I had so much fun photographing them at the gorge park. They are super well behaved and very good friends. We had a blast with the boys making silly faces for the camera. They made my

Andrea & Christian

We consider ourselves among the luckiest people in the world because we get to work with crazy fun people like Andrea & Christian. These two are so laid back and fun and we can't thank them enough for allowing us to do a lot of creative photograpy. They were married at the gorgeous Goward House estate and had a late afternoon reception on one of the nicest days this spring. Both Andrea & Christian and each set of parents were all about surprises and there were many throughout the day, including a gorgeous vintage car that showed up to escort them around (arranged by Andrea's parents). When the reception was over, we were able to spend a couple of hours of alone time all over town and down near the ocean, including one of their favorite haunts, the Bard & Banker. We even found a reserved parking spot with Andrea's lucky number 7! Andrea & Christian, you are one of a kind and we thank you so much for being so awesome!
